Terms of Service
The terms that govern use of this website and the services Hanover Lift Garage Door Co. provides.
Last updated: August 6, 2026
1. Agreement
By using this website or booking work with Hanover Lift Garage Door Co., you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or engage our services.
2. Services
We provide residential and light-commercial garage door repair, replacement, opener installation and maintenance in New York City and nearby areas of New Jersey. Availability of same-day service depends on crew capacity, weather and traffic and is never guaranteed.
3. Estimates and pricing
Prices shown on this website are indicative ranges for planning purposes and do not constitute an offer. A binding price is given only in a written estimate signed on site or confirmed by email. Additional work discovered during a repair requires your written approval before it is performed. Sales tax is added where applicable.
4. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless a commercial account with agreed terms is in place. We accept major credit cards, ACH transfer and checks. Returned checks incur a $35 fee. Balances unpaid after 30 days accrue interest at 1.5% per month or the maximum permitted by New York law, whichever is lower.
5. Cancellations and access
Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to two hours before the start of your arrival window. If our technician arrives and cannot access the door because nobody is present, a $59 trip fee applies. Please secure pets and clear vehicles from the working area before we arrive.
6. Warranty
Standard repairs carry a two-year warranty on parts and labor; high-cycle spring pairs and new door installations carry three years on labor with manufacturer terms on materials. The warranty covers defects in the parts we supplied and in our workmanship. It does not cover damage from impact, vandalism, flooding, storm, power surge, misuse, work performed by others, or normal wear of consumables such as weather seal and remote batteries.
7. Customer responsibilities
You confirm that you own the property or are authorized to approve work on it, that you have disclosed any known structural or electrical defects at the opening, and that any building or co-op approvals required for the work have been obtained.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use of a vehicle, loss of business or missed appointments. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
9. Website content
Text, photographs, logos and layout on this site are our property or used under license and may not be copied or republished without written permission. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate but do not warrant that pricing, availability or technical descriptions are error-free.
10. Complaints and disputes
Please contact the shop first — most issues are resolved on the next visit. Formal complaints should be sent in writing to the address below and will be acknowledged within five business days. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and the courts of New York County have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the day your work is booked applies to that job.
